Positions Available at Catholic Charities

CYO Basketball Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education/Experience

  1. A minimum of Associate’s Degree.

  2. A minimum of 1-3 years experience working with children, involving supervision of children and/or staff.

  3. Experience and knowledge of elementary, middle, and high school basketball skills and regulations.

 

SKILLS

  1. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with players, coaches, parents, parishes, referees, and community providers.

  2. Ability to communicate orally and in written form in an organized and concise manner.

  3. Ability to interpret and implement regulations, as pertinent to the program.

  4. Valid New York State Driver’s License.

Facilities Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

1.A Bachelors degree in a related field (Business, Building Maintenance, Technical, Accounting, etc) with one year of related experience plus supervisory experience. Aptitude for business/and or construction with analytical /technical skills.

OR

-An Associates degree in a related field (Business, Building Maintenance, Technical, Accounting, etc) with three years of related experience plus supervisory experience. Aptitude for business and/or construction with analytical/technical skills.

OR

-A High School Diploma or equivalent with five years of related experience plus three years of supervisory experience. Aptitude for business and/or construction with analytical/technical skills.

 

Must possess a current and valid NY state driver's license with 4 points or less.

SKILLS

1. Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, analytical thinking and negotiating skills.

2.Self-motivated, ability to work successfully with little direct supervision

3.Capable of dealing with multiple projects concurrently.

4.Ability to quickly master relevant funding source policies and procedures.

5.Working knowledge of computer and telephone systems

6.Cost estimating, maintenance planning, purchasing and organization talents

7.Ability to analyze work orders, prioritize complexity of workload and assure quality performance, which may include devising own methods to achieve satisfactory results.

Maintenance Worker

QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. Education

    1. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

    2. Successful completion of appropriate training in plumbing, electrical and/or carpentry skills. 

  2. Experience

    1. A minimum of three to five years of related maintenance experience.

 

SKILLS

    1. Good interpersonal abilities.

    2. Ability to work successfully with limited supervision.

    3. Cost estimating, maintenance planning, purchasing and organization talents.

    4. Analytical judgment of renovation projects.

    5. Ability to analyze work orders, prioritize complexity of workload and assure quality performance, which may include devising own methods to achieve results.

    6. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more with assistance 

      1. Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less.

Residence Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

  1. Bachelor degree, or be licensed as a registered nurse, or be licensed or certified in a mental health discipline.

 

Experience

  1. A minimum of two years human service experience

  2. Educational or direct experience in human services focused on mental health or MRDD.

  3. Experience in program and staff planning and development, and a demonstrated ability to supervise others.

 

SKILLS

  1. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain in a professional manner, relationships with clientele and personnel within and outside the Agency, and to work intimately with direct care staff.

  2. Ability to communicate orally and in written form in an organized and concise manner.

  3. Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less.

  4. Must demonstrate those general skills and personality traits deemed necessary to successfully meet the demands of the position

Residence Manager-OASAS

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Anyone meeting the definition of Qualified Health Professional as per OASAS definition shall be considered to have met the minimal job qualifications.

A. Licensed and currently registered physician by the state of New York department of education.

B. Physicians Assistant licensed and currently registered as such by New York State Department of Education and whose practice is in conformity with Section 3701 of the Public Law.

C. A nurse practitioner who is licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse and who has advanced certification through the American Nurses Association in a clinical specialty area or who has completed a program registered by the New York State Department of education and received a certificate of completion in a clinical specialty area relevant to the treatment of alcoholism.

D. A professional nurse licensed and currently registered by the New York State of Department of Education.

E. An alcoholism counselor who has a current valid credential as an alcoholism counselor issued by the NY Division of Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse in accordance with Section 19.07 (a) (19) and (20) of the Mental Hygiene Law.

F. A certified social worker licensed and currently registered by the New York State Department of Education.

G. A occupational therapist licensed and currently registered to practice by the NYS Department of Education.

H. A psychologist licensed and currently registered by the NYS Department of Education.

I. A rehabilitation counselor certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification

J. A therapeutic recreation specialist who holds a baccalaureate degree in a field allied to therapeutic recreation and has five years of full-time, paid work experience in an activities program for the aged, ill, or handicapped in a health care setting or an equivalent combination of advanced training, specialized therapeutic recreation education and experience.

Experience

A minimum of two years experience in providing supervision and administration preferably in a mental health/addictions agency. CASAC prefrerred.

SKILLS

1.Knowledge of various county and state agencies

2. Demonstrated ability and maintain in a professional manner, relationships with clientele and personnel within and outside the agency, and to work intimately with direct care staff.

3. Ability to communicate effectively and in written form, in an organized and concise manner and work cooperatively with other staff.

4. Counseling and clinical supervision skills (preferred).

5. Demonstrated flexibility

6 .Demonstrated ability of administration, planning and budgeting.

7. NYS Drivers License to be used commensurate with program needs.

Senior Residence Counselor Positions

Full time Senior Residence Counselor positions available in our OMH programs and OASAS programs.

Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less.

Residence Counselor Positions-Pathways Program

Full time Residence Counselor positions available in our Pathways Apartment program.

Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less.

Residence Counselor Positions - OASAS Community Residence

CASAC T credential preferred but not required, full time positions working in residential programs for men and women in recovery.

Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less.

Relief Counselors 

Per diem $14.58/hour: needed for residential programs in Utica and Rome. Minimum qualifications include High School diploma with previous experience working with individuals with disabilities
