Last year, our first-place winner stopped in and told us:

The Community Assistance Program provides critical services such as:

  • Emergency food vouchers

  • Personal hygiene supplies (including diapers and wipes)

  • Utility and rent/security deposit assistance

  • Our Food Pantry & Pet Pantry

  • Food Sense program

  • Christmas Assistance

  • School supplies

  • Care and Share (National Grid financial assistance program)

  • Referrals to additional support services

In 2025 alone:

  • Over $10,000 in emergency financial assistance was distributed

  • Our Food Pantry provided food for 3,111 individuals, equating to 28,000 

    • With 147 households utilizing our Pet Pantry

  • More than 2,500 individuals received hygiene and personal care items

Since 1925, Catholic Charities has been a pillar of compassion and service, providing vital assistance to our most vulnerable population. In the past year, Catholic Charities Oneida/Madison County served 6,591 unduplicated individuals. Our services are provided to everyone, regardless of an individual’s ability to pay, religion, race, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
