Board of Directors Announcement 2017
Catholic Charities Oneida/Madison County is pleased to announce that a new President and Vice President were elected to the Board of Directors on 6/29/17.
Dennis Webster has been appointed President of the Board. He has been a Board Member for Catholic Charities Oneida/Madison County since 2015 and is the Senior Vice President for the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Utica, NY. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Utica College and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from State University of New York Polytechnic (SUNY Poly). Dennis serves the community as a member of the Whitestown – New York Mills Lions Club, Engine 11, and Utica Council for the Blind (UCB). He’s a graduate of Leadership Mohawk Valley and won the Utica Rotary “Pride in Workmanship Award.” He’s of the Roman Catholic faith and is a member of the St. Thomas, New Hartford, NY parish.
Theresa Rockwell is the new Vice President of the Board. She joined the Catholic Charities Oneida/Madison County Board in the spring of 2016. She is the Business Development Officer at Empower Federal Credit Union in Utica, NY and holds an Associates Degree from SUNY Cobleskill. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Evelyn’s House and is on the Catholic Charities Development Committee. As a recent graduate of the Leadership Mohawk Valley Program she chose to serve on our Board to help those in our community who are most in need.
The Treasurer position remains occupied by William Nicholson, a retired executive of Niagara Mohawk. Bill has been Treasurer since 2015 and a Board member from 1984-2005 and from 2010-present.
The Secretary position is filled by Marytheresa Balutis, a retired Utica City School District Teacher, who has held this position since 2015. Marytheresa joined the Board in 2013. She currently also oversees the Volunteer Reading Tutors Program for the Utica City School District.
